We cannot imagine life without animals.

If you are anything like us, the thought of anyone harming these perfect little ones are too much to bear. But sadly, it happens.

Let us see what you can do to make a difference:

  • 1) Adopt

There are millions of dogs and cats up for adoption in shelters across India. Even if you can't take your furry friends home, you can passively adopt them (please check with the local shelters on how you can passively adopt the animals) or support them in their charity events.

  • 2) Don't Shop

Puppy mills operate just like factory farming. No matter how good the breeder is, they do not care about the health and welfare of the animal. These animals are put in cages all their lives only to make kids, and eventually discarded when they can no longer breed.

Every time you decide to shop and not adopt, understand that their parents are suffering in someone's backyard. They cannot walk, they have untreated infections, and theylive in cages all their lives only because you wanted a toy. Don't be selfish. If you love animals, adopt don't shop. Encourage your family and friends to follow the lead.

  • 3) Help Community Dogs

India has a lot of stray indie dogs in every community. Feed them fresh food once a day at least. It would mean a lot to them. They will protect you. If you see kids or elders harming animals, stand for the voiceless. There are a lot of social media groups you can seek help from.

  • 4) Volunteer at Shelters

If you cannot adopt due to family or work circumstances, you can always volunteer at your local shelters. A shelter always needs volunteers. You can go even once in a month and help them out. You get to learn a lot about animals and be closer to them by volunteering. People are now more involved in raising the living standards and status of our furry friends in society, working relentlessly to create a better, happier environment for them. The number of volunteers has been on a substantial rise and more donations are being made for the cause.
